Bob’s Burgers’ & ‘Anchorman’ Actor Jay Johnston Pleads Guilty To Felony Charge Related To January 6 Capitol Siege – Update

In a surprising turn of events, Jay Johnston, the voice actor behind iconic characters on Bob's Burgers and known for his role in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, pleaded guilty on Monday to a federal charge related to his participation in the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.



The 55-year-old actor entered a guilty plea to a felony count of civil disorder. This charge applies to individuals who willfully obstruct, impede, or interfere with law enforcement during a riot. According to court documents, Johnston faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison. However, sentencing guidelines typically suggest a shorter term, ranging from eight to fourteen months. His official sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 7th.
